Clifford Ball's tales of warriors against wizardry are now complete

THRIFT WINDS^TM Chapbooks presents The Goddess Awakes, the last of Clifford Ball's three sword-and-sorcery adventures, all dating from the late 1930s.  Acknowledged as the first writer to attempt to follow in the footsteps of Robert E. Howard's stories about Kull and Conan, Clifford Ball burst on to the field from complete obscurity in 1937 with the sword-and-sorcery thriller Duar the Accursed, followed it with five more well-received short stories for WEIRD TALES magazine over a handful of years, and then vanished as mysteriously as he'd come.
